If you get this error, the following steps will fix it:
- Open Control Panel:
- Click the Start button (Windows logo).
- Type "Control Panel" in the search bar and select it from the results.
- Navigate to System and Security (or System):
- Click on "System and Security" (or "System" if you don't see "System and Security").
- Access Advanced System Settings:
- Click on "System" (or "Advanced system settings").
- Open Advanced Tab:
- In the System Properties window, click on the "Advanced" tab.
- Open Performance Settings:
- In the "Performance" section, click the "Settings" button.
- Open Data Execution Prevention Tab:
- In the "Performance Options" window, click on the "Data Execution Prevention" tab.
- Choose DEP Setting:
- Select "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only" to disable it for most programs.
- Alternatively, select "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select" to enable with exceptions. Then choose "Add" and add Continuum.exe
- Apply Changes:
- Click "OK" to close all windows and apply the changes.
- Restart Your Computer:
- You may need to restart your computer for the changes to take full effect.
